2. Donation Policy
Use of Donations
All donations support HATCH for Hunger’s mission to close the protein gap across America. Unless otherwise specified by the donor, all contributions are treated as unrestricted funds and may be used where they are needed most to sustain programs, logistics, and operations.
Note: Donations received without donor instructions will be considered unrestricted gifts supporting HATCH for Hunger’s national mission and operations.
Designated (Restricted) Gifts
If you designate a donation for a specific purpose or program, HATCH will make every reasonable effort to use your gift as requested. In rare cases where funds exceed the need or a program is no longer active, donations may be redirected to the area of greatest need to maximize impact.
Refunds and Errors
If a donation is made in error, please contact us within seven (7) business days at admin@hatchforhunger.com to request a refund. Refunds are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to processing limitations.
Acknowledgment and Tax Receipts
Donors will receive an email acknowledgment or receipt suitable for tax purposes. HATCH for Hunger is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
