Partners Across Egg Industry Donate Eggs to Florida Hurricane Relief Efforts

In a collaborative effort to support those across Florida affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, HATCH and MPS Egg Farms have joined forces to donate thousands of fresh eggs to Feeding Tampa Bay and Treasure Coast Food Bank in Fort Pierce, Florida. This donation aims to combat food insecurity exacerbated by the recent hurricanes that have severely impacted local communities across the state

"We are honored to be working alongside MPS Egg Farms and the American Egg Board to bring this essential donation to Florida families who are struggling in the aftermath of these devastating hurricanes," said Danny Leckie, CEO of HATCH. "Eggs are not only a critical source of protein but also one of the most versatile and affordable foods that can be used in countless meals, which is critical in this time of high need.” 

A full truckload - 25,000 dozen eggs - is being delivered this week. With thousands of families displaced and communities rebuilding in the wake of devastating hurricanes, this donation provides much-needed support to those facing uncertainty around where their next nutritious meal may come from.

Feeding Florida is the state's food bank network and works to end hunger in the state by providing nutritious food and hope to more than 2 million Floridians who are food insecure.The collaboration between MPS Egg Farms, HATCH, and the American Egg Board exemplifies a shared commitment to supporting neighbors and communities by ensuring universal access to fresh, nutritious eggs, even during times of crisis.
